Bab-i-Faiz Gate is also known as Salar Jung Gate. Built by Nawab Sadiq in 1737, it served as main entrance to the town of Panipat. It is constructed of Lakhori bricks and stone foundation. The main passage has two arched openings on either side. The outer multi foliated arches are flanked by decorated with arched niches stacked vertically. Crenellations forming a pattern along the top of a parapet make one of the main features of this gate. The gate currently stands in a busy market area.
