    Jasma Odan is a romantic ballad. Jasma was a princess who married a man of the Od community, as it was one where the man and his wife did not part, but worked together. This is a famous ballad among the Sarangiya Langa. The narration alternates between instrumental playing and singing.

    Kachbo

    Kachbo is a ballad based on the life and deeds of Rana Kachbo, who was nicknamed as Kachbo which means a tortoise. Rana Kachbo was known for his generosity. This is a famous ballad among the Sarangiya Langa, though songs about Rana Kachbo are performed by other muscian communities in Western Rajasthan.

    Sorath

    Dhola Maru

    Dhola Maru is a very popular gatha sung as a romantic ballad by Manganiars and Langas. The popular romance between Dhola and Maru who were promised to each other at birth but are separated is very popular in Marwar, which is Western Rajasthan. They are held as the epitome of a romantic couple and the name Dhola is oftern used to refer to a lover. This recording is an extract of the Dhola Maru ra Duha sung by Manganiars.

    Ugda Bhanej
