We are able to recognize the scope of her international presence, with tours and festivals spanning India, London, Italy, Japan, France, Germany, Denmark, and Canada. It is clear through the ephemera that Indian contemporary dance was given a place in international festivals, with the choreography and dancers representing a different type of India, invoking themes and forms that were not the typical “classical” dance.
