The mosque is currently located near Gurgaon railway station in a locality 'Sarai Ali Vardi Khan'. It was apparently part of a sarai 'Ali Vardi Khan' that doesn't survive now. The sarai and mosque was built by Nawab Ali Vardi Khan in the reign of Mohammad Shah II, the Mughal king of Delhi. It is a three bay mosque made of red sandstone and brick. The mosque had two minarets, only one out of the two survive now. The mosque is being used for worship in current times.
